Sandy Whitaker has been perfecting the art of botanical pressing for over twenty years. As a nature lover and avid gardener, Sandy turned a beloved pastime of pressing into a full time artistic pursuit in 2011 when she launched Botanicals by Sandy. Leveraging centuries old techniques of preserving florals and ferns, each work of art is as unique and special as the plant showcased.

Focused on elegant compositions and articulate hand-printed botanical names in the corner of each finished work, Sandy is always experimenting and adding to her oeuvre. Spring, as one might think, is the most bountiful season for the artist to experiment and add new types of works and compositions to her offerings.
